Saipo Soap is a Filipino vegan and cruelty-free skincare brand with a collection of homemade soap, body scrubs, bath bombs, and more.
As an established brand in Manila, Philippines, the increase in the brand’s demand was a call to upgrade their e-commerce platform. The client wanted to build more on their existing customer base by creating a better user experience and deeper customer relationship.
Their previous website was on a platform that made it difficult for entrepreneurs to maximize their sales with their customers. We migrated their website to Shopify for better functionality, and chose a design that was more sales-driven to showcase their wide range of products and collections. The Shopify platform would also make it easier for their future plans for shipping internationally.
While we kept the existing Saipo color palette, we reworked the color combinations for a cleaner website that highlighted the beautiful products, but also to have a more gender-neutral palette to appeal to the brand’s increasingly male customer demographic.
Shopify’s streamlined e-commerce platform and wide range of affiliated apps, we were able to automate all sales and marketing processes, easily add customer reviews, create customer accounts, a rewards and referral program, and restock alerts.
We also reconstructed Saipo's contact page, separating wholesale inquiries, custom soap orders, and a general contact form into their own pages. This not only provided a little more clarity for customers and potential business partners, but would make the influx of inquiries more streamlined on the client's end.
As a team of two, the client also needed help with promoting the relaunch of her website on social media, primarily on Instagram. Saipo had also not made use of email marketing previously, so a big goal of social media promotion was to generate leads for email marketing through incentives promoted on Instagram.
Through marketing and PR efforts, we were able to build Saipo's subscriber list through a carefully planned month of pre-launch content.
